Application of Information Technology and User Skills to Organizational Performance

Human resources refer to individuals in the organization who work together to achieve organizational goals. The strategy to develop organizational performance is to strengthen the organizational capacity and competence of human resources. Technology is a whole of methods that rationally lead and have the characteristics of efficiency in every field of human activity. This will be effective for efforts to achieve organizational goals if it is supported by the competence of human resources. This study is to determine the role of information technology and user skills on organizational performance. Observations will be made at one of the sub-district offices in the city of Surabaya involving 23 respondents. The results of the study have described that the application of information technology has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance, where the better the existing technology in an organization, the organizational performance will increase. In addition, it was concluded that user skills had a positive and significant effect on organizational performance. This means that if an employee's competence is further improved in terms of his field, the performance of the organization will also increase.
