Abstract

This study aims to explore the evolving dynamics of the relationship between management and employees in multinational corporations amid the rapid pace of digital transformation. Utilizing a qualitative approach through literature review and thematic synthesis, the analysis focuses on two primary issues: the transformation of virtual communication patterns and the disparity in digital literacy. The findings reveal a paradigm shift in human communication, transitioning from face-to-face interactions characterized by emotional warmth to more efficient virtual communication, which is, however, vulnerable to the loss of personal nuances and a decline in trust. Furthermore, the disparity in digital literacy leads to segmented engagement, asymmetry in information access, and differences in career development opportunities among employees. The gap in technological adaptation affects not only individual performance but also organizational cohesion, solidarity, and innovation. This study recommends a redesign of managerial strategies that emphasize a human-centered approach to digital transformation. Such an approach encourages organizations to balance technological efficiency with collaborative values, psychosocial well-being, and appreciation for diverse digital competencies. Consequently, multinational corporations can enhance their competitiveness and internal harmony through more inclusive, participatory, and adaptive policies in response to the dynamics of the digital era. This study contributes a conceptual model highlighting the significance of humane communication and comprehensive digital literacy enhancement to create a productive and sustainable work environment within the global corporate landscape.
