Social Change Management to Realize Inclusive Order in the Digital and Social Media Age
Keywords:
social change, digital age, social media, digital literacy, polarization of opinion, data protection, management strategyAbstract
This research discusses social change management in the digital and social media age, analyzing information acceleration and its implications for opinion polarization, dissemination, and digital inequality. Using qualitative literature studies with thematic synthesis, the findings reveal that rapid information distribution, algorithm effectiveness in shaping networks, and fragmented digital identities are altering social structures, increasing data vulnerability, and widening access gaps. The digital literacy gap exacerbates social exclusion, while privacy and data security face challenges due to inadequate regulations. Key strategies include developing digital literacy, strengthening data protection laws, and expanding digital technology infrastructure inclusively. Collaboration among government, education, civil society, and business is essential to navigate and optimize these changes. This research strengthens the theoretical and practical foundations for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners, guiding efforts toward equitable and sustainable social transformation.
