Abstract

Motivational variables and job satisfaction variables are still considered identical variables for some circles. But both of them are different even though both involve emotional responses. Motivation is a behavioral action that might come back with a certain emotional response while job satisfaction is an emotional response that will produce a broad behavioral action towards the work environment. Job satisfaction is the attitude of the experienced object while motivation is the behavior of the identified object. To strengthen this argument, a study was conducted to observe the application of the two variables. This study aims to determine the relationship between the variables of achievement motivation and employee job satisfaction variables. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Samples were set as many as 85 employees from the production department which were used as respondents. Data analysis techniques using the Spearman Rank correlation test and processed with SPPS software. The findings of the study stated that the variable of achievement motivation and job satisfaction variable had a direct or positive and very strong relationship. The higher the level of job satisfaction, the higher the motivation for employee achievement and vice versa.
